I was sent a pair of these headphones for review. Overall I find them great headphones for most music types, though I use them at a desk rather than moving around. They should be fine for portable use, they grip the head reasonably well but they are quite comfortable for extended listening sessions too.

The noise reduction feature works very well to remove noise like the deep bass of engines and air conditioning noise. It doesnt really affect higher pitched noises like telephones ringing all that much, but it helps a little. This is similar to most noise reducing headphones. Battery life seems very good, contrary to what I have read in other reviews.

The bass is the standout point for these headphones, its deep and has plenty of impact. The mids and highs are good too, slightly recessed, but suitable for the types of music that Dr Dre makes. I use them to mostly listen to dance music, which they do a good job at.

One concern I have about the headphones is one ear is louder than the other. Its not a huge difference, but its noticeable. I expect this is just a minor point with this pair of headphones, but its worth checking out if you buy a pair.

The packaging is great, very slick and professional. The headphones themselves look great, professional, shiny, with a bit of bling factor.

Overall I think these are good headphones, quite suitable for their target market. Im not sure about value for money, but for the sound quality, build quality, noise reduction, and style im sure they will be appreciated by many. I would definitely take these over Bose headphones.

I owned these headphones for about 8 months. They provided very nice quality of base along with the Mids and the Highs.

The padding is very comfortable and provided a great plush feeling while being secure.

I typically used these with my iPhone and found that I was getting static from the the cellular reception.

One day after taking them off as normal the head piece broke. After going through some reviews I found many others having the same problem. Luckily monster warranty was good for a year. I received a brand new set a few weeks later. I wound not recommend these to anybody as they do have a high price tag and they have a significant flaw in their build quality.

Let me first explain that I am a semi-casual listener. And by that I mean that I love live music however prefer the "clarity" that the studio will bring to a band. Also I am more of a rock & hip-hop/rock listener, so the depth of bass and overall balance of things is very important to me.

That said, the main draw of these headphones are their bass. And as of now, with what I have sampled, they are second to none. The bass is well rounded, deep, and has a great impact, especially in the rock and hip-hop genres. The mids and highs are good, however they do lack a bit when compared to similar priced headphones. However for the casual listener these headphones are just great, and compared to the industry standard ipod headphones these headphones are not even comparable, they are in a different class.

In the end, these are amazing headphones which are well worth the hefty price tag. They are portable, sturdy and draw quite a bit of attention when sitting around your ears. And IMHO I think you should stop reading this review & go grab a pair!

headphones.
